Belts and Wallets with Hidden Compartments for Hiding Money and Valuables

5 Belts with Hidden Compartments

Zero Grid Travel Security Belt (The Belt with Insurance!)

A money clip/security belt, the Zero Grid travel belt is a great pick.  It is a nice belt that comes with insurance! Weighing only 4 ounces and measuring 41 inches by 1.5 inches, this belt features a 24.5-inch zipper pouch along its length. The belt is made for those with a waist size of 26 to 42 inches.

The nylon webbing featured throughout is high-grade, and the hardened plastic buckle lends this Zero Grid belt a modern simplicity and trendiness that won’t make anyone think twice about it. Zero Grid designed their belt without any belt holes. A tapered end makes for easy wearing. To access your cash and other small valuables, just open the durable YKK zipper attached to the pouch.

According to Zero Grid, this belt is TSA-friendly. Remember, it’s metal-free, so there’s no reason the belt should get you stopped at any airline checkpoints.

Included with your purchase courtesy of Zero Grid are two ReturnMe recovery tags. They recommend slapping these recovery tags on your most valuable goods, including your passport, your camera, your laptop, your smartphone, or your tablet.

If any of these tagged items are stolen, you can contact ReturnMe’s call center anytime 24/7 to begin the search for your items no matter where in the world they go missing. Zero Grid says this service is available to you for life and at no extra cost to you.

If that’s not incentivizing enough, Zero Grid also states that should you use their money belt and something within it is stolen, they’ll give you at least $300 in reimbursement. That’d convince us to buy this money belt, especially considering the belt itself only costs around $19.

Yoder Leather Company Hidden Money Travel Belt

If you have a business meeting and that’s the reason for your travels, you can’t get away with wearing something like the Zero Grid money belt. It just doesn’t look professional enough. In that case, you need the Yoder Leather Company hidden money travel belt.

This heavier-duty belt weighs 10.4 ounces and measures 1 1/2” inches wide. You can adjust the belt in lots of ways, as it has seven holes in all, each with an inch of space between them. The rounded buckle is made of stylish solid brass. However, if you’d like a different buckle, Yoder Leather Company says the belt comes with Chicago screws for replacing the buckle with one of your choices.

Finished in the United States, the tanned English bridle leather of this belt is quite appealing. The leather features a high-grade polish, so it holds up even better for everyday use.

Oh, and this belt is quite thick too, approximately 3/16th inches. That’s thicker than the belts you’ll find when shopping in stores. Part of that thickness is, so the Yoder belt has room for a zippered pocket that’s an impressive 25 inches long.

According to Yoder, you can fit 24 narrowly-folded bills in this belt’s pocket. The zipper is anti-jam, so you don’t have to worry about it getting stuck when you’re quickly trying to hide your cash.

The belt comes in a variety of sizes, from 34 inches to 56.  It is always recommended to buy one size larger than your waist (for example, if you wear 38” pants, choose a 40” belt.)

The Yoder Leather Company hidden money travel belt comes in two colors, black or brown. It costs $65 and has an almost perfect customer rating score on Amazon!

Hide & Drink Leather Belt with Hidden Pocket

In the same vein is the Hide & Drink leather belt with a hidden pocket. This appealing belt is hand-made of full-grain leather, so it’s the real deal. The leather looks especially good with the nickel buckle, which gives this belt a classic style.  The only downside is that the size choices are a bit limited.

Hide & Drink says their leather comes from the hide’s top layer for a unique look and premium feel.  They stain the flesh side of the leather belt, creating a natural hue. Then they use their own beeswax conditioner with proprietary ingredients to lend the belt a smooth finish and a great shape that’s achieved without a synthetic stabilizer.

The team at Hide & Drink works with artisans in Pastores, Guatemala, to cut and stitch each belt by hand. To clean up loose ends, the artisans use an open flame. This should prevent the ends from becoming unraveled in all the years you may own and wear this belt.

The belt measures 1.5 inches thick with 3.5-millimeter thick leather. The hidden pocket on the inside of the belt is sewn into it and can hide your essentials such as a house key or car key as well as a few bills that are folded up. Hide & Drink believes in the quality of their belts so much that the company offers a 101-year warranty. Yes, you read that right, 101 years!

The Hide & Drink belt is available in brown and comes in three sizes: 34 inches, 36 inches, or 38 inches. It costs $31 to $52, depending on the size you choose.

PuPeiLife Military Tactical Belt

Our last belt with a hidden compartment is the PuPeiLife military tactical belt. This belt is 49 inches long and 1.5 inches thick. The zippered compartment within the belt is 24 inches, so you could slip a key or two in there or maybe some $20 or $50 bills, even a couple of hundreds if that’s more convenient.

Made for waists that are 28 to 42 inches, this tactical belt features a nylon base with zinc alloy hardware, including the buckle. If you need to open the belt and take it off at a moment’s notice, it has several quick-release buttons for doing just that.

PuPeiLife includes an EDC paracord with five built-in tools in the belt, such as a scraper or flint rod that you can use for igniting a fire. If you ever find yourself in a life-or-death survival situation, you’ll be glad to have this belt!

The other included tools are a bottle opener for drinking, a screw wrench for making repairs, a key ring for holding onto your keys, and a whistle for alerting those close by of your presence. That’s very feature-rich for a belt that costs under $20! so you don’t have to worry about it chewing through your budget in the slightest.

Going in Style Travel Belt

The Going in Style travel belt might look like your average belt at first glance, but you’ll soon see it’s anything but. This travel belt includes a zipper pouch hidden on the inside that’s nearly 24 inches long! The entire belt measures 1.6 inches by 48.7 inches by 0.2 inches for waists between 25 and 45 inches long.

Made of a comfortable cotton mix with trendy leather trim, the Going in Style belt also includes a silver buckle. The belt features five loops for adjusting the fit your way. Five Wallets with Hidden Compartments

Bellroy Hide & Seek Wallet (Personal Favorite)

Switching gears to wallets with hidden compartments, first on this list is the Bellroy Hide & Seek Wallet. It is the wallet I own.  The average look of this wallet is intentional, as then it’s easier to miss the pouch, card, and bill sections hidden within! Bellroy really hides that pouch well, as a leather lip obscures the pocket otherwise. You can put a few keys and folded-up notes in the pouch.

There’s also a card section that’s hidden away for stashing credit cards, debit cards, social security cards, healthcare cards, driver’s licenses, and business cards that you don’t want just anybody getting their hands on. Since you can buy the Hide & Seek in two sizes, you can get a version that fits the bills you carry, be those American dollars or international currency.

The Hide & Seek includes separate flat bill sections and promises not to fold or crumple your cash. You also have four quick-access card slots on top of the wallet for business cards and credit cards. This wallet can fit five to 12 cards, sometimes more depending on their thickness.

I have owned a Hide-and-Seek wallet, and I can tell you from personal experience that the leather is premium, and the two-tone colors are beautiful.  Select from all sorts of fun colors for the Bellroy Hide & Seek, including Red Earth, Caramel, Java, Racing Green, Marine Blue, and Basalt. This wallet has a premium cost of around $89, but it is worth it.

House of Wallets Secret Compartment Bifold Wallet

You can also try the secret compartment bifold wallet from House of Wallets. This sleek-looking leather bifold wallet has two different pockets for stashing currency. A leather flap hides both pockets, so your money isn’t so easy to come by to criminals and other nefarious characters. In the center is a flat card slot with a viewing window. You won’t have to guess where your cards are with this useful feature.

Measuring 4 ½ inches by 3 ¼ inches by ½ an inch, this wallet has slots for upwards of nine cards that are sized to a credit card. Should you want to, you can even personalize your House of Wallets bifold wallet with three initials stitched into the bottom of the righthand corner.

House of Wallets promises the quality of their wallets for life. If your secret compartment bifold wallet has any issues, you can get a replacement for free. This wallet starts at $34, although personalization costs are extra.

BULLCAPTAIN RFID-Blocking Wallet

If you’re looking for a vintage-looking wallet with surprisingly current security features, try the BULLCAPTAIN RFID-blocking wallet. Weighing 0.25 pounds, the BULLCAPTAIN wallet measures 4.9 inches by 3.7 inches by 1.3 inches.

Its top-grain cowhide leather construction is premium-grade, and each wallet is handcrafted for a specialized look. On top of that, the leather is supposed to prevent scratches even if you keep your wallet in your pocket or rustling around in a backpack.

BULLCAPTAIN promises their wallet will block radio-frequency identification or RFID signals so your wallet’s contents can’t be scanned against your will. The wallet can stop frequencies up to 13.56 megahertz.

Choose from two colors for the BULLCAPTAIN RFID-blocking wallet, black or brown. This wallet is around $30.

Ekster Parliament Wallet (a Trackable Wallet!)

Our last pick for wallets with a hidden compartment is the Ekster Parliament wallet. It, too, is built from top-grade leather that’s tanned with DriTan technology from ECCO Leather. This means of tanning leather follows environmental protocols so it’s not as damaging on our planet.

The Parliament wallet includes a solar-powered tracking card with Chipolo technology that tucks right into a built-in pocket. The tracker card features two-way ringing so you can communicate with your wallet through your phone and even the other way around.

You’ll also quite like the card ejection mechanism, which is the hidden compartment in the Parliament wallet. When you press a button, the cards within the mechanism fan dramatically out so you can see and access them when needed.

This skinny wallet is 0.4 inches by 4.1 inches by 2.5 inches, with room for nine to 12 cards, preferably four or five to six non-embossed cards, and embossed cards. You must have an Android 5 or an iPhone with iOS 11 to use the tracking card feature.

The Ekster Parliament wallet comes in plenty of hues, including Classic Brown, Roma Cognac, Nappa Black, Juniper Green, Merlot Red, and Steel Blue. This wallet costs $89.

Bosca Bifold Wallet with Flip ID

An appealing wallet through and through, the Bosca bifold wallet with flip ID certainly deserves a spot on this list. It’s made of old leather, a type of Italian leather that’s vegetable-tanned and certified. It has what Bosca calls a “classic look” with a glossy, appealing finish.

Measuring 3 ½ inches by 4 ½ inches by ¾ inches, this Bosca wallet features two receipt slots, a divided currency well, 11 card slots, and an ID window for your license or another form of identification. Two hidden pockets, both vertical, are handy for obscuring cash and other slimline valuables as well.

The Bosca bifold wallet with flip ID is available in amber brown. You can get three numbers or letters monogrammed onto the wallet so everyone knows it’s yours. This wallet costs $135, although it may be more expensive with the monogramming.
